GTALab has no account requirement and no third-party analytics in this build.
On your device
Saved news, the launch checklist, passport, spoiler preference, radio favorites, read updates and daily challenge progress use browser storage. They do not sync across devices. Clearing this site’s storage resets them.
Community votes
Voting sets an anonymous, signed cookie for up to one year. Our private database stores a hashed browser identifier, the poll and your selected choice. Public results show aggregates, not individual identifiers. You can replace your choice. This browser-level limit is not proof of a unique person.
Abuse prevention
Requests use short-lived hashed IP-based rate limits. We do not store raw IP addresses in the voting database. Fly.io provides the hosting infrastructure and may handle operational logs under its own policies.
Email stays off
Signups and delivery are disabled until an email provider is connected. No email address is required to read the web Dispatch. The prepared subscription flow uses explicit consent and a confirmation link; unconfirmed requests expire after 48 hours. If enabled later, unsubscribing removes the active email record. Infrastructure backups can retain prior records for their retention period.
External sources
Rockstar and other official links open external websites with their own privacy policies. Audio and videos do not load automatically here.
